Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 4 nos cloves


  • 3 nos cardamom


  • 1 nos star anise


  • 15-20 nos cashew seeds


  • 4 tsp soaked kush kush poppy seeds


  • 1/2 cups garlic cloves


  • 1 cups fresh mint leaves


  • 1 cups chopped coriander leaves


  • 2 tsp ginger paste


  • 2 tsp turmeric powder


  • 4 tsp garam masala powder


  • 2 tsp red chili powder


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 2 tsp black pepper


  • 2 nos cinnamon


  • 400 gms chopped onion


  • 200 gms chopped tomatoes


  • 2 nos sliced green chili


  • 15 gms curry leaves


  • 500 gms cleaned mutton /lamb meat


  • 100 ml cooling oil


  • 4 tsp salt to taste


  • 2 nos dry red chili to garnish

Directions

  • Cooking Mutton In Pressure Cooker:
  • Cooking Mutton In Pressure Cooker: Add cleaned 500 gms mutton meat to the pressure cooker, add 2 tsb salt , add 1 tsb turmeric powder, add , 1 tsb red chilli powder, add 2 tsb garam masala powder, add 2 cups of water close the lid and cook the meat for 4-5 whistles in the pressure cooker.
  • Preparation of gravy/Curry: Grind the 4 tsb Soaked Kush Kush/Poppy seeds with 15-20 cashews in mixie grinder , grind it into a fine paste and keep aside.
  • Heat the pan on the stove , pour 5 tsb cooking oil , add 1 star anise , cinnamon , cardamon, cloves, black pepper , garlic cloves, saute it in low flame, then add chopped onions and saute well, then add tomatoes to it and saute well, add 1 tsb turmeric powder, 2 tsb garam masala , ginger paste and saute well, now add the pre grinder cashew & poppy seeds paste , add mint leaves and 2 sliced green chili and saute well, add 2 tsb salt to taste, when the curry is cooked well , allow it to cool and transfer it to a grinder and grind it into a fine paste .
  • Now Heat a pan pour 4 tsb oil and add curry leaves and 2 dry red chili then add the thick grinder curry paste to the pan ans cook well , now transfer the cooked mutton along with the water in it to the pan and stir well and cook for 20 mins in medium flame. Thick Spicy and Aromatic Delicious Mutton Curry is ready to serve..
